We need your support to make Kusoma - LMEF's mission come true!
Kusoma - LMEF's current targets are to fund 15 scholarships for Kuria students to attend secondary schools per year; make improvements to the infrastructure of existing Kuria schools; and in the long-term build at least one school in Kuria. Please join us by making a donation of money, services, goods, or time!
Any amount, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated!
How your Donations will be Used
Your monetary donation to Kusoma - LMEF will support the following activities:
Secondary School Scholarships
A scholarship of $1000-$1200 (depending on the school) covers tuition, books, boarding, meals, etc. for one year of secondary school.
Transportation to and from Daraja Acadamy
A donation of $120 will provide three return tickets for a Kuria student's transportation to Daraja Academy, a school for orphans and poor children in Nanyuki, Kenya.
Improvements to infrastructure of Kuria schools
Donations will go towards purchasing desks and benches, assuring potable water, and building appropriate restrooms at existing schools.
How to Make a Donation*
To make a donation to Kusoma - LMEF online, just click on the "Donate Now" button on the left side of your screen. Alternatively, checks for monetary donations can be sent to Kusoma's fiscal sponsor, One World Children's Fund (make checks payable to "OWCF" and write "Kusoma" on the memo line):

Donating Time, Services, or Goods
Kusoma - LMEF greatly welcomes your participation in our activities as a volunteer, as well as donations of services that will further the mission of Kusoma - LMEF.
Possible volunteer opportunities include:

Web site development and maintenance

Communicating with Kusoma-sponsored students
We also would greatly appreciate your donations of services or goods, such as printing services, raffle prizes, etc.

* Please note that 100% of donations made to Kusoma International through One World Children's Fund (OWCF) go to support project expenses and no portion will be used to cover OWCF administrative costs. OWCF is a 501(c)(3) public charity. Your donation is generally tax-deductible as a charitable contribution to the full extent of the law.
